Promotions and discounts are great for email campaigns as well. Make sure to offer previous buyers a better promotion then those who haven't purchased from you. They will love you for it.

3. Host a free event. Having a special event for previous customers can be very profitable. You could do a number of fun and effective events. Give a free seminar, have a customer appreciation picnic, whatever. You will also grab the attention of lots of passing traffic too.

4. Send a free gift. Write a small book or report on something all your prospects and customers want to know. Let's say you are a plumber. You could write a quick report on 'The 10 Things You Must Know Before Hiring A Plumber". Throughout the free gift have special promotion offers or coupons.

5. Create a business to business relationship and let your old customers know about it. Joint ventures are great way to advance your business with new customers, but can also be very effective with getting past buyers back. Informing your database that you can offer them a 20% discount on your venture's products/services will grab their attention. It will also show them how much you care for their needs.
