The RAM or Random Access Memory is one of the most important parts in a laptop or a desktop. More the memory you have, better speed you get. Your laptop speed and performance will be greatly affected if the memory of your is less. So it is necessary to upgrade your memory according to your work needs. The minimum recommended nowadays is 2 GB of memory. However, you can go for more if your laptop has some applications that require higher memory. The more memory you have, the better the performance and multitasking you can expect from your laptop.

The Hard Disk

The hard disk is another important element of your laptop. It is also the place where you install various software and also store all your data (documents, database, photos etc). You need to have enough space in your hard disk to store all your important data and applications. 80 GB of hard disk space is considered the minimum requirements these days. However, it is always good if you have hard disk of higher capacity (like 200 GB or more).

Important Note: Apple Notebooks are now using Intel processors, which means that if you have a hard disk with sufficient disk space, you can partition your disk drive and install both Apple Mac software and Windows software and switch between the two.
