Some people want to know if you need a domain even if the program has given you a website? It's up to you to ask them. They may or may not need you to do that. Are they setting you up on a sub domain type of site once you join their program? Will you have to get your own unique domain name? It's up to you to get the answers from the company directly. Some companies have special conditions as to the domain names you can choose, or which advertising keywords you can use in certain ad campaigns. Read the disclaimersand if you're still unsure, contact the company to find out what you'll be provided with as well as what you can and cannot do.

One thing to recognize is that if you're going to have two different businesses, - the communications business and then you've got the wood-working business, they should not be on the same exact domain. Since they are two separate companies and are varying products, they should each be on their own separate website and domain.

In any event, if the companies suggest that you get a domain, then get a domain. If the business doesn't, I wouldn't suggest it. I don't know how much manage and what you're able to do. Also, if you did obtain and your own domains, what substance, photos etc., would you be able to take off of the main company's website and put onto your own website? These are things you'll need to ask the organization before you begin. Get all the answers first so that there are no surprises later
