Customize Windows 7 Desktop with Computer Help

The latest version of Windows, Windows 7 is endowed with many cool new features that will allow you to customize your computer desktop with new look and function. With Windows 7, you will be able to navigate between the programs and the open windows much more easily than ever before.

The feature of new desktop background options is a nice change that was made to the Windows 7 desktop. Now for your background you can select any single image from a gallery of images or you can select multiple images to adorn your desktop with a slide show background. The images in the library are cool ones and they include all types of images including nature, landscape, architecture, characters and artsy scenes etc. You can also select images from your photo or picture library, suggest the computer help experts.

To make any changes in the desktop background of Windows 7, you will need to right click on the desktop and select the option ‘personalize’. Here you will need to click on the ‘desktop background’. You can also set it by going to the ‘start’ button and then you can enter the background in the search box that will come and can press ‘enter’. Just like the previous versions of Windows you can change the desktop theme of your computer desktop. For this you will need to right click on the desktop and select the option ‘personalize’. Here you will see the choices like Basic themes, Aero themes and High Contrast themes. If you have all the Windows 7 requirements you can use the Aero theme but you need to remember that it will eat up much of your horsepower from your graphics adapter and CPU. If you are using a much older machine that barely meets the Windows 7 specifications you should better go for the Basic theme. If you like the looks of your Windows XP you can go for the Classic theme, suggest computer help experts.

Windows 7 taskbar has got some cool modifications. The nice thing about it is that you can no tweak with your taskbar. With Windows 7 you can rearrange the tiles on the taskbar. For this you will need to drag and drop the tile to rearrange these. You can also pin the favorite programs so that they are always found there. Another new feature is that with Aero Peek you can have a preview of all your active windows. To use the option of Aero Peek you just need to roll your mouse cursor over the tile that you wish to preview on the taskbar.

Using Windows 7 Aero Snap you can now customize your desktop according to your choice. With Aero snap you can maximize your window by clicking the title bar and dragging it to the top of the computer screen. If you want to resize the screen you can drag it to left or right side of the screen to make the screen snap to that side. If you don’t like the size you can always drag it away from the screen to get the screen back to the original size.

With Aero Shake you can quickly minimize all the open windows except the one on which you are working. To use Aero Shake you will need to click the mouse cursor on the title bar of the window that you want to keep open and then you need to drag the title bar quickly back and forth. The motion of the screen will quickly minimize all the windows except the one you are working with
