Ask not what you can do just for your country; ask what you should do as a Citizen of the World!

A long, long, long time before John F. Kennedy stated the phrase:"Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country", Socrates proclaimed, “I am not an Athenian or Greek, I am a Citizen of the World”!

I would now like to update these famous quotes for the 21st century to: “Ask not what you can do just for your country; ask what you should do as a Citizen of the World!". The reason for this update is because the problems confronting the human race now affects the long term survival of the same. You already know the long term problems we have had with continuing wars, escalating acts of terrorism, along with the forever persistent problems of hunger, disease, and poverty. And it is certainly past time people starting thinking outside the nationalism boxes that they live within.

I am not saying that nations, especially those nations that support human rights for its citizens, should be dissolved, just that we need to evolve those nations into a preliminary form of world government starting with those free nations (along with representatives from the major world religions). A plan has been created for such a start at world government and that is the Untied Free Nations Organization (UFNO.org).

By combing the armies of the free nations as a UFNO Police Force under the worldwide laws made by UFNO Congress (remember that there will be representatives of the major world religions too), we can actually begin to end wars and fight terrorism together! Currently there are no worldwide laws against wars and terrorism as there should be. And not just laws, but a police force capable of enforcing those laws.

Yes, the United Nations Organization has a police force however often it cannot be ordered into action because of the veto power of any standing member of the Security Council. This, as well as other political reasons, makes the United Nations Organization incapable of being changed and should be disbanded! One good thing the United Nations has done is to create the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)! However this is only a declaration and as a requirement for any nation or for representatives of any of world religions to become a member of the UFNO, they must subscribe to this UDHR making it into a worldwide Human Bill of Rights Law (HBRL)!

And while it will take making worldwide laws against war and terrorism to make world peace a reality, it will take political action for the UFNO to be created. This is the reason why the World Peace Political Party (W3P.info) has been formed. And its next annual convention is planned for this coming July 3 to 5th near Portland, Oregon. If enough people join W3P and encourage the leaders of the world, via letter writing, petitions, email chains, demonstrations, events, meetings, and other non-violent political actions, the dream of Peace on Earth can someday soon become a reality!
