How many times have you been applying your makeup and everything is going well, but suddenly you make a mistake that ruins the entire effort? Have you ever removed everything you've done and started from scratch? More than likely you have; it happens to all of us.

This article is intended to share the five most common mistakes and the best tricks to quickly fix them without having to take off your whole face.

TOO MUCH FOUNDATION
This is a real common mistake that we all make from time to time. If you're totally made up, but you need to take off excess foundation, here's what you do:

Lightly moisten a clean sponge with water (the sponge should be almost dry, without any makeup residue) and sponge your entire face with downward movements.
TIP: It is very important to avoid excess foundation and concealer around the eyes. However, it does happen, perform the same step and follow up with your fingertips to softly blur the product in that area.

MY EYESHADOW IS TOO DARK
If you put on too much eye shadow and it looks too dark, follow these steps to fix the problem on the fly:
To fix your upper eyelid, blur the eye shadow toward the edges with a clean brush to reduce the color. If it's still too dark, apply a little bit of matte cream eye shadow with a brush (if you don't have cream eye shadow, you can use translucent powder) and blur the eye shadow.
To fix the lower part of your eye, use a fine, clean brush to blur, or dab it softly with a Q-tip.

If you've left the contour of the eyelid and the shadow looks very dark, blur it with a clean sponge and then apply a little bit of foundation, patting very lightly to fix the foundation.

TOO MUCH BLUSH!
To fix a heavy blush issue, try the following tip:
Brush your cheek with a thick, loose powder brush. The brush should be totally clean. If you still have too much blush on, apply translucent powder with the same brush, just over the blush. This way the two powders should mix, fixing the original color.

I'VE PUT TOO MUCH MAKEUP ON MY EYEBROWS AND I LOOK MAD!
When you apply too much makeup on your eyebrows, it will make you look harsh and unrecognizable. Use the following step to quickly solve this:
Brush the eyebrow with a clean Q-tip, going against the grain of your eyebrow. You will see how quickly the excess color disappears.
IVE SMEARED MASCARA ON MY EYELID

It's okay. Just follow these next steps:
Continue applying your makeup and when you are finished, allow enough time for the mascara to dry, apply a Q-tip right over the smudge. You'll see how it quickly disappears and you don't need to remove the makeup from your entire eye.

TIP: A great trick to avoid smudging yourself is by applying makeup first to your inferior eyelashes and then to the superior.
